Dehradun, May 28 (IANS) Two persons hailing from New Delhi and one from Haryana's Faridabad were killed on Monday when their vehicle hit a small bridge and fell into a rain-fed river in Uttarakhand, police said.
The occupants were coming back from Kedarnath when the accident happened at the Badrinath highway at Jiyalgarh.
While the three were killed on the spot, two others were seriously injured have been admitted to the Base hospital in Srinagar, an official told IANS.
All the dead - Anurag, 27, from Faridabad, Narendra, 25, and Meenakshi, 24, both of Delhi - were sitting at the back while the driver and the woman sitting next to him were injured in the incident.
The injured - Amit Parcha, 36, a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Modinagar, works at the Electricity Board and Jyoti, 34, from Delhi works at a private insurance company.
