The 28-year-old Lyu on Saturday registered a winning mark of 67.69 metres from her last-round effort to win the women's javelin event on the opening day of the two-day annual tournament.
She beat the previous Asian record of 67.59m she set during the qualification phase of the 2017 World Championships in London, where she went on to notch a bronze medal in the final.
Christin Hussong of Germany finished second at 66.36. Kara Winger of the United States took the third place at 61.98m.
