Ranchi, May 23 (IANS) A village head was hacked to death by a group of co-villagers on Wednesday in Jharkhand's Khuti district, following which two persons were arrested, police said.
Police said village head Durga Singh Munda was cutting a 'palash' tree on his land falling in the jurisdiction of Sadar police station, which was opposed by six villagers.
Following an argument, the villagers attacked Munda, hacked him to death with an axe and fled the spot.
