Nucleya excited about his own radio show

Mumbai, May 16 (IANS) Electronic music producer Udyan Sagar, popular as Nucleya, will make his BBC Asian Network debut on May 20. He says his music isnt played on the Indian radio so, he is looking forward to his own radio show.

To be hosted on the BBC Asian Network website for a worldwide audience and broadcast on digital and terrestrial airwaves in the UK, "Nucleya" will showcase music from global Indian diaspora and also open a dialogue with other creative leaders from fields of design, film and culture.

It will also be available for download and 'listen again' for Nucleya's British fans.

Some of the station's most notable presenters include Bobby Friction and DJ Nihal, who have continuously championed Indian electronic musicians on their shows.

Nucleya's show will attempt to do the same for younger producers from the global Indian diaspora, including the Middle East, by introducing their sounds and styles to the British audience.

"This offer brought me a lot of selfish joy to be honest. My music isn't played on Indian radio so to now to have my own radio show where I can play what I want, including my own productions, feels like a vindication of what I do," Nucleya said in a statement to IANS.

"The two-hour show will serve as an introduction to me, my music and also a lot of music and acts that I am digging. I want the show to provide a rich palette of sounds," he added.

The producer, known for delivering hit albums like "Koocha Monster" and "Bass Rani", is working on releasing an album later this year.
