Remaining Magenta Line to start soon: DMRCNew Delhi, May 15 (IANS) The Kalkaji Mandir-Janakpuri West stretch on the Magenta Line has been approved by the Metro Safety Commissioner and will open for public soon, the Delhi Metro Rail Corp said on Tuesday.

The section between Botanical Garden in Noida and Kalkaji Mandir in south Delhi was made operational on December 25 last year.

"The Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety has given the mandatory approval for the start of passenger operations on the 25.6 km section between Janakpuri West and Kalkaji Mandir subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions and stipulations," the DMRC said in a statement.

 

"The exact date of opening of this corridor will be intimated after compliance by DMRC," it said.

The section has 16 stations with two interchanging ones at Hauz Khas and Janakpuri West.
