Pune, May 13 (IANS) Chennai Super Kings are virtually through to the play-offs as they hammered Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) tie at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Sunday.
Both Hyderabad and Chennai continue to be at the first and second spot respectively in the points table.
Chasing a competitive total of 180 runs, it was the 134-run opening stand between Ambati Rayudu (100 not out) and Shane Watson (57 off 35 balls), which guided the hosts home with ease with an over to spare.
It was also Rayudu's maiden IPL hundred.
