Tremors felt across Himachal

Shimla, May 9 (IANS) Tremors of an earthquake were felt across Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday, triggering panic among the people. However, no loss of life or damage to property was reported.

"Tremors of earthquake were felt for some seconds at 4.11 p.m.," an official at the Meteorological Office told IANS.

He said the epicenter of the earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale was in on the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region.
