The Delhi Administration Subordinate Services (DASS) officers held a silent protest outside Raj Niwas in Civil Lines of north Delhi from around 10 a.m, demanding that Baijal take action on a report submitted to him on restructuring of the cadre.
The Delhi Government Employees Welfare Association General Secretary Deepak Bharadwaj told IANS that Baijal met a delegation of the officers around 1 p.m and promised that he would study the report within two days and take appropriate action.
"Restructuring deals mainly with promotion. Currently, the officers of DASS cadre are promoted very slowly and our demand is that an officer should be promoted at least three times in his service," Bharadwaj said.
The officers called off the protest after their meeting with the Lt. Governor.
