Dewas (Madhya Pradesh), April 17 (IANS) Amid a cash crunch affecting several states in the country, the Dewas-based Bank Note Press accelerated printing of currency notes to meet the demand.
From Tuesday, work started in three shifts which was earlier done in two shifts, according to an informed source. The press here prints Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 denomination notes.
As ATMs ran dry in many states, parts of Madhya Pradesh were also affected with a large number of ATMs empty for the second day on Tuesday and long queues at those that still had cash.
