Shimla, April 10 (IANS) Shoolini University in Himachal Pradesh's Solan has emerged as one of the top five private universities of north India as per rankings given by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) set up by the Union Human Resource Development Ministry, the varsity said on Tuesday.
The five parameters that are used to determine NIRF rankings are teaching and learning resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcome, outreach inclusivity and perception.
"The research achievements of Shoolini are already better than the average of the 10 best universities of the country. We feel proud that we are competing with some of the leading private universities in the region which have been long established even before the inception of Shoolini," Vice Chancellor P.K. Khosla said in a statement.
