Refund sanction fortnight extended till Mar 31

New Delhi, March 28 (IANS) The government on Wednesday extended its special "refund sanction fortnight" drive to process the pending GST refunds on account of exports till March 31.

The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) said that all customs field formations will remain open on March 29, 30 and 31, which are non-working days.

"As an administrative and logistical arrangement to ensure maximum number of pending refund claims are settled, CBEC has decided to extend the 'Refund Fortnight' and keep open all the customs field formations on March 29, 30 and 31," it said.

The government had launched a special fortnight-long drive to process the pending GST refunds from March 15 to 29.
