Nitin Raut to head Congress’ SC department

New Delhi, March 27 (IANS) The Congress on Tuesday appointed former Maharashtra Minister Nitin Raut as Chairman of the Party's SC Department in place of K. Raju.

Raju, a former bureaucrat, was appointed chairman of the SC Department in 2013. He had also worked in the National Advisory Council (NAC) during the UPA government.

The party also appointed Tamradhwaj Sahu, MP, as Chairman of party's OBC Department in place of K.C. Lenka.
