Bhubaneswar, March 16 (IANS) President Ram Nath Kovind will pay a two-day visit to Odisha from Saturday, during which he is scheduled to attend several events in the state.
It will be Kovind's first official visit to the state after his election as President.
The President will land at the Bhubaneswar airport on Saturday morning, where he will be received by Governor S.C. Jamir and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Kovind will travel to Cuttack, where he will dedicate the Anand Bhavan Museum and a learning centre at Tulasipur, an official said on Friday.
He will also deliver a lecture at the foundation day celebrations of the National Law University in Cuttack.
Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, Governor Jamir, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will attend the function.
The President will then leave for Puri for a night stay.
On Sunday, Kovind will inaugurate the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan's centenary celebrations in Puri.
The President will also attend the 6th annual convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) here on Sunday.
He will lay the foundation stone of the Skill Development India Centre and inaugurate the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, and the Indian Oil Odisha campus in the city.
