A small quantity of synthetic drugs was seized from the accused's Nashik residence, the official said.
"Kamalesh Baste, 20, a resident of Gouri Nandan Arcade in Nashik, was arrested on March 14 in a joint operation with NCB Mumbai zonal unit on charge of procuring synthetic drugs online and supplying it to contacts across Indian cities, including in Kolkata," NCB Kolkata zonal unit head Dilip Kumar Srivastava said in a release.
The accused has been brought to Kolkata on a three-day transit remand for questioning.
The accused came on the NCB radar after a package sent by him to a Kolkata contact via courier was returned to him since the intended recipient had been arrested.
"Baste had supplied more than 100 drug consignments to various Indian cities, and has connections with national and international drug rackets," Srivastava said.
The NCB Kolkata had arrested Niloy Ghosh, Jerome Watson, and Rhythm Das in December 2017 on the charge of drug peddling at parties and colleges in the city and allegedly seized drugs from them.
