They are the only company from India to feature in the publication, which is owned by the owners of Rolls Royce and Bentley.
Kalypso Adventure was started here in 2000 by two former Indian Navy officers -- Cdr. Thomas Zacharias and Cdr. Sam T Samuel.
Speaking to IANS, Samuel, a former naval pilot, said it was in 2016 that they were contacted by a representative of St. James's Publication house, London and was told that they were shortlisted for feature inclusion in an RREC publication named "In Pursuit of Excellence", due to come out by end 2017/ early 2018.
Zacharias said the selection was done on the request of RREC, which was looking for a local experiential travel company from across the globe.
"Over the last year or so, we were interviewed, data collected and finally a two-page article was written about us that has been included in the RREC publication which is being launched on March 23, 2018 at the Goodwood House, Chichester, UK," said Zacharias, an electronics engineer.
The former naval officers had, after taking voluntary retirement from the Indian Navy, launched KA and they were the first to introduce adventure tourism in Kerala at a time when adventure in India was restricted to the Himalayas.
