New Delhi, March 8 (IANS) Demanding CBI inquiry in alleged irregularities and corruption in SSC examination, a group of women students protesting outside the SSC headquarters in south Delhi on Thursday called for nationwide protests by wearing black clothes to examination centres on Friday.
On the 10th day of their protest, the women candidates tied their hands and mouths with black ribbons outside the CGO complex and demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into all examinations conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
"We demand an investigation into the deep-rooted corruption in recruitment for government jobs through the SSC. And from day one of the protest, the government has either been dodging the demand or trying to mislead the agitating students," a protester Ferdoz told IANS.
"We are getting support from various states on social media platforms and through other channels," she said.
"The students will hold another protest against SSC's decision to reschedule the exam cancelled on February 21 and rescheduled for Friday. The protesting students have given a call to all candidates appearing in the exams to wear black dresses to the examination centres to protest against corruption in the SSC," she added.
