New Delhi, March 6 (IANS) The AAP on Tuesday slammed the BJP for the Supreme Court's decision staying proposed amendments to Delhi Master Plan 2021, saying the DDA -- run by the BJP -- didn't have the intention to find a solution to the sealing drive.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Dilip Pandey told the media that his party had "struggled" to protect traders from the sealing drive that is on against business establishments using residential areas for commercial purposes without paying conversion charges.
"Earlier also we had proposed that conversion charges be removed and that a bill should be brought in Parliament on it. That is the only solution."
He added that the BJP "just pretended to be concerned and proposed amendments" which sought to legalise extra construction of both residential and commercial complexes.
Earlier in the day, the top court pulled up Delhi Development Authority for not filing an affidavit analysing the environmental impact of the proposed changes.
