Seoul, March 1 (IANS) South Korean President Moon Jae-in and US President Donald Trump held a telephonic conversation on Thursday on possible preliminary talks between Washington and North Korea, Yonhap news agency reported.
The phone talk between Moon and Trump was the first in about a month, the senior press secretary to the South Korean President was quoted as saying.
Moon explained to Trump that North Korea had shown its willingness to talk with the US, persuading the US President to get into an exploratory dialogue with Pyongyang to figure out what Pyongyang intends to do while keeping a stance of maximum pressure on the country.
