New Delhi, March 1 (IANS) Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday set up a screening committee for the Karnataka assembly elections with party leader Madhusudan Mistry as its chairman.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, All India Congress Committee General Secretary in-charge of Karnataka K.C. Venugopal and state unit chief G. Parameshwara are the ex-officio members of the committee, said a statement by party General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi.
Lok Sabha members Tamradhwaj Sahu and Gaurav Gogoi are among the other members.
The Karnataka assembly polls are likely to be held in April-May.
