Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-East district) Romil Baaniya said a security guard at the hospital had caught a man, later identified as Ram Kishan Gupta, who was posing as a faculty member of the orthopedic department.
The accused told the police that he had completed his MBBS degree in 2000.
"He confessed to have impersonated to gain favour for the treatment of a relative," police said.
