I connect well with kids: Sarwar Ahuja

Mumbai, Feb 27 (IANS) Actor Sarwar Ahuja says he connects well with children -- and that is the reason behind his bond with child artiste Riva Arora.

"Mere Papa Hero Hiralal" tells the story of a father (Sarwar) fighting against all odds to save his adopted daughter's life. Riva is seen as his on-screen daughter Gungun.

"I always connect well with kids. With Riva, the magical bond developed almost instantaneously. She is an adorable kid, and we had a wonderful time shooting together on the sets," Sarwar said in a statement.

"I am delighted that the relationship between the two has grown to such an extent that she calls me 'Papa' off-screen as well. It is an honour. I cherish getting so much love and affection from young Riva," he added.

Produced by Viniyard Films, "Mere Papa Hero Hiralal" is aired on Discovery JEET.

Krrip protects 'Jeet Gayi...' co-star from fire

Actor Krrip Kapur Suri turned a saviour when he saved his "Jeet Gayi Toh Piyaa Morre" co-star Nisha Pareek from a fire which broke out on the show's set.

Last week, while shooting an important sequence, Nisha's dupatta caught fire. Krrip ran towards Nisha to rescue her. He removed her dupatta and extinguished the fire. Nisha is seen as Kesar in the Zee TV show.

"Even though it wasn't a huge fire, the situation was such that it could have significantly burnt Nisha! While the team extinguished it quickly, all I could think about was assisting her and so ran towards her," Krrip said in a statement.

"Thankfully, the team is well equipped to handle such situations and brought the fire under control in no time. I am extremely glad that everyone is safe and that no one was injured during this incident," he added.

Lucky to have Ashish as co-actor: Sonarika

Actress Sonarika Bhadoria says she feels lucky to work with actor Ashish Sharma as he helps a lot while shooting for the TV show "Prithvi Vallabh".

"This show has been a learning experience for me as I have never done full blown action sequences in the past. I feel blessed to have Ashish as my co-actor. He is a senior actor and has done a lot of action shows. Plus, it comes to him naturally," Sonarika said in a statement.

She added: "He helped me a lot during an action sequence. Occasionally, I would go with the flow and hit him hard which hurt him a little but still, he would maintain patience and calm throughout the shot."

The show is aired on Sony Entertainment Television.
