Mumbai, Feb 8 (IANS) State-run power equipment manufacturer Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) on Thursday reported a 63.77 per cent rise in its standalone net profit to Rs 153.19 crore during the third quarter (Q3) of 2017-18.
The company's net profit in Q3 2016-17 was reported at Rs 93.54 crore.
During the period under review, the total income of the company stood at Rs 6,763.84 crore -- up 0.37 per cent -- from Rs 6,738.60 crore reported in the corresponding period of last fiscal.
"The Board has declared and approved payment of interim dividend at 40 per cent (Rs 0.80 per share) on the paid up share capital of the company for FY 2017-18. Interim dividend shall be paid/dispatched on February 28, 2018," the company said in a regulatory filing to the BSE.
The company's shares on the BSE rose by 1.60 per cent to close at Rs 95.45 per scrip.
