Man, wife, mother held for killing his father

Kolkata, Jan 31 (IANS) A man and his wife and mother were arrested on Wednesday on charge of killing his drunkard elderly father and burying the body outside their house in West Bengal's Cooch Behar district, police said.

Both women were arrested for abetment to the crime, police said.

"A middle-aged man was arrested from Dinhata for hacking his father to death on January 23," a police officer said.

The accused often quarrelled with his father over his binge drinking.

"On January 23, the man's father came home drunk and started shouting. He has not been seen ever since. The neighbours came to us, suspecting the old man has been murdered," the officer said.

The accused confessed to killing his father and burying the body in front of the house.
