Lucknow, Jan 26 (IANS) Armed dacoits on Friday killed a couple after robbing two houses in Uttar Pradesh's Farrukhabad district, police said.
An official told IANS that half-a-dozen dacoits raided two houses in Kayamganj and looted jewellery, silverware and cash worth lakhs of rupees.
When Rashid Khan and his wife Badrul Nisha resisted them, they were shot dead. Khan was a retired employee of the municipal corporation.
The criminals took away the deceased couple's son Faeem to make their escape easier. He was later dumped in a field.
Superintendent of Police Mrigendra Singh vowed to catch the killers soon.
