Ghaziabad, Jan 20 (IANS) A sewage treatment plant costing Rs 78 crore was inaugurated at Ghaziabad's newly developed township Raj Nagar Extension on Saturday by District Magistrate Ritu Maheswari.
Speaking on the occasion, Maheswari said the township with 65 group housing societies, in which over 25,000 flats have since been handed over to owners, was in dire need of strong infrastructure. The plant's treatment capacity is 56 million litres daily.
The new township was launched in 2009.
