New Delhi, Jan 4 (IANS) The government is planning to build three bridges over the River Brahmaputra in the northeast region with a total length of 38 km, Parliament was informed on Thursday.
While the draft Detailed Project Report has been prepared for the 14-km-long bridge between Dhubri in Assam and Phulbari in Meghalaya, DPRs for two bridges in Assam (12 km each) between Gohpur and Numaligarh, and Kaupati and Rowta are under preparation, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Mansukh L. Mandaviya told the Lok Sabha in a written reply.
"Consultancy services for the preparation of Detailed Project Reports for these bridges have been awarded," he said.
