Gunfight starts in Kashmir’s Shopian district

Srinagar, Dec 18 (IANS) A gunfight started on Monday between the security forces and the militants in Jammua and Kashmir's Shopian district.

State police chief, S.P.Vaid, in a statement said: "Exchange of fire going on in Shopian of south Kashmir between terrorists and Police/Security Forces. Wishing boys the very best!".

The gunfight has started in Batmuran village of the district where police said two to three militants are holed up.
