New Delhi, Dec 17 (IANS) A 34-year-old car driver was run over and injured by a SUV driver after an argument over not giving way to the latter's vehicle in west Delhi, police said on Sunday.
Police said victim Arjun Kashyap was returning home to Paschim Puri in west Delhi early on Thursday when he stopped his car besides a flyover on the ring road near Kirti Nagar.
"The SUV driver coming behind started sounding the horn. He later stepped out and had a heated exchange with Kashyap for not giving way. The accused hit Kashyap with his SUV and escaped from the spot," a senior police officer said.
A passerby witnessed the crime and informed the police. Kashyap suffered multiple injuries and is undergoing treatment at a Punjabi Bagh hospital.
"We are examining CCTV footage to identify the accused driver. A case has been registered," the officer added.
