New Delhi, Dec 17 (IANS) The Jagadguru Kripalu Parishad (JKP), which runs hospitals as also educational institutions for underprivileged girls, was awarded at the Swasth Hindustan Conclave 2017 here for providing free health care services.
JKP trustee Ram Puri received the award on behalf of its President Dr Vishakha Tripathi at the event organised by the Zee Hindustan TV channel.
The event was attended Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare J.P. Nadda, who launded "the selfless service being done by JKP" to keep society healthy.
He said services like counselling, and providing free surgeries and medicines that are being undertaken at three JKP hospitals were great examples of social service.
Puri said that JKP also organised free medical camps for health check-ups, for eye-care, blood donation drives and special check-up camps for women.
