Los Angeles, Dec 17 (IANS) Singer-songwriter SZA and record producer Calvin Harris have joined hands for a funky remix of the former's hit song "The Weekend".
The music video for the original and the remix are yet to be released, reports billboard.com.
The remix was released on Friday. The nearly-three-minute track has Harris transforming the slow jam into a house jam, adding some bouncy sounds to the track.
The funky remix received a positive response from fans of both the artistes.
One fan commented on YouTube: "As good as the original! This is so rare to happen." Another fan added: "The beat boos and goes with the vocals! Yaaaas SZAAA."
"The Weekend" is one of the tracks from SZA's debut album "Ctrl", which was released on June 9.
Even though the track was never officially released as a single, the track earned a platinum certification and has been nominated for Best R&B Performance at the 2018 Grammy Awards.
