New Delhi, Dec 15 (IANS) Researchers in Hindi can opt for an upcoming fellowship that will grant Rs 75,000 per month for a period of six to nine months. The research will ultimately culminate into a full-fledged book, which the organisers will help publish.
Titled "Gyanvriti," the fellowship is being organised by the Dainik Jagran newspaper and is aimed at promoting research in original writing in Hindi, covering diverse subjects like History, Political Science, Social Science and Economics, among others.
"Gyanvritti will give opportunity to scholar to do research in in subjects like History, Political Science, Social Science, and Economics etc. Scholars can apply online for this fellowship program only. Applicants can send their entries by writing synopsis in a thousand words in related topics," the organisers said in a statement.
The final decision will rest with the jury members: Professor S N Chaudhary from Barkatullah University and Shakti Sinha, director of Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, along with the editorial team of Dainik Jagran. The selection of the research fellow will be based on a 1000-word synopsis that the applicants are required to submit.
The selected scholar will then be required to present the progress report of research every three months before an expert panel of the organisers.
The copyright of the 200-page book resulting from this fellowship will rest with the author.
