Ranchi, Dec 15 (IANS) Jharkhand's main opposition party, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), burnt an effigy of Chief Minister Raghubar Das in the Assembly premises over his "unparliamentary" remark on the last day of the winter session.
The JMM legislators, led by Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, burnt the effigy at the VVIP gate of the state assembly.
Earlier in the day, Das, while replying to allegations of JMM legislators in the house, allegedly used one unparliamentary word.
Defending his government's move to implement the Domicile Policy, which enables any person living in the state for the last 30 years to enjoy benefits as a permanent resident, Das said: "Why are you (the JMM) feeling unhappy because 95 per cent of youth in the state have got government jobs.
"Aap logo ko kyon mirchi lag rahi hai? Aapka jhanda dhone wala nahi milega (Why are you feeling jealous? You will not get anybody to support your cause)," he said.
The JMM members boycotted the proceedings. The Question Hour was washed away as the opposition members raised several issues and did not allow the Speaker to proceed.
