Manchester, Dec 8 (IANS) Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola on Friday assured that his star midfielder David Silva will figure in the Manchester derby on Sunday.
Earlier Guardiola had said that the Spaniard is doubtful to play against Manchester United in the forthcoming English Premier League (EPL) tie.
After 15 matches, Manchester City top the EPL table with 43 points while Manchester United are settled on the second spot with 35.
"He (David Silva) is going to play," the Spanish was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"The doctor told me at the beginning of the week there was a doubt about him playing that's why I said what I said but today he arrived and said he is really good so he is going to play," Silva added.
Talking about his key midfielder Raheem Sterling's potential, Guardiola said: "At 23 years-old you can always do better, you have a lot of distance to achieve to get your best level.
"I think he has a lot things to improve and that is why he will have a long career."
