District Senior Superintendent of Police Love Kumar told IANS that the 17-year-old's photographs have been circulated on the social media and pasted at public places even as teams have been formed to look for him.
Anjali Agarwal, 42, and her daughter Manikarnika, 11, were found bludgeoned to death, likely with a cricket bat, in a bedroom of their Greater Noida flat around 11.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Anjali's husband Soumya Agarwal, who was away when the crime took place, called up relatives to upcheck when he unable to reach her on phone. Upon finding the flat locked, the relatives informed police.
Police said the woman's son's bloodstained clothes were found in the bathroom and he was seen exiting the house with a bag.
Bisrakh police station incharge Ajay Kumar Sharma said four police teams were formed to look for the teenager.
"We have talked to the family members and the boy's friends, but no motive has been established so far," he said.
