Athens, Dec 3 (IANS) Turkey President Tayyip Recep Erdogan will visit Greece on December 7-8, the first by a Turkish head of state in 65 years, following an invitation by his Greek counterpart Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
Erdogan will meet with Pavlopoulos and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, while he will also visit the northeast border province of Thrace, which hosts a large Muslim minority, Xinhua reported on Saturday.
The two Presidents are expected to discuss issues that affect bilateral relations, the refugee crisis, security in the wider region and European Union-Turkish ties.
Closer economic cooperation will also be discussed and will focus on joint projects currently underway.
