Misty, cold Saturday morning in Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 2 (IANS) It was a misty and cold Saturday morning in the national capital as the minimum temperature dropped to 7.4 degrees Celsius, three notches below the average.

"The sky will remain partly cloudy in the day ahead," an India Meteorological Department official.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 92 per cent and visibility stood at 1,000 metres.

The maximum temperature was expected to hover around 26 degrees Celsius.

Six trains were cancelled, while four have been rescheduled and 25 were running late due to fog in several parts of the northern India, a railway official said.

Friday's maximum temperature settled at 26 degrees Celsius, the season's average, while the minimum temperature was 8.2 degrees Celsius, two notches below the normal.
