Modi greets Nagaland on Statehood Day

New Delhi, Dec 1 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the people of Nagaland on their Statehood Day and wished that the state would scale to new heights of development.

"On the occasion of their Statehood Day, I convey my greetings to the people of Nagaland. This state is blessed with immense natural beauty and industrious citizens. I pray that the state scales new heights of development in the times to come," Modi tweeted.

Nagaland became the 16th State of the Indian Union on December 1, 1963.
