Rome, Dec 1 (IANS/AKI) Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Friday called on the international community to back his country's fight against terrorism by supplying it with "advanced technical know-how".
"We don't need direct military intervention, we can do that ourselves," Shoukry told the Mediterranean Dialogues summit being held here from Thursday to Saturday.

Citeing the recent example of November 24 terror attack in Egypt's volatile North Sinai province - claimed by IS - which killed 311 people including 27 children, he said: "We need to step up cooperation with the international community to help Egypt because we are facing a common peril that must be tackled with the necessary force."
