New Delhi, Dec 1 (IANS) Senior bureaucrat Anshu Prakash was appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Delhi on Friday, the Union Home Ministry said.
The 1986 batch IAS officer of AGMUT batch was the Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in Union Rural Development Ministry.
Incumbent M. M. Kutty was shifted to Union Finance Ministry on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had said that the central government should consult the Delhi government before appointing the new the Chief Secretary, as it was the norm.
Prakash has earlier served as Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, in the Delhi government.
