New Delhi, Dec 1 (IANS) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday carried out searches at six locations in Kolkata and Chennai including at the properties of a relative of former Finance Minister and senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram in connection with an ongoing probe into the Aircel Maxis deal case, officials said.
The searches started in the morning at four locations in Chennai and two locations in Kolkata, an ED official told IANS.
The official said one of the raids in Chennai was carried out at properties belonging to Sadaiwail Kailasham, a relative of Chidamabaram.
The ED official also said that the searches were carried out for giving FIPB clearance after accepting bribes.
