Indian, Pakistani troops trade heavy fire on LoCJammu, Nov 29 (IANS) Pakistan Army again violated the easefire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Wednesday, triggering a heavy exchange of fire with Indian troops, officials said.

Police said Pakistan army used mortars, automatics and small arms to target Indian positions on the LoC in Poonch.

"Pakistan shelling and firing started at 2.40 p.m. Indian positions retaliated strongly and effectively. Firing exchanges between the two sides continued for over an hour," an officer said.

 

Pakistan had on Tuesday resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing on Indian positions on the LoC in Rajouri district.
