New Delhi, Nov 21 (IANS) A gas agency manager was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants who snatched over Rs 3 lakh from him in west Delhi, police said on Tuesday.
Jagannath, a resident of Budh Vihar Phase-II in Miawali Nagar, was going to hand over the cash to agency owner on Monday evening when the accused intercepted him on the Nala Road in Maiwali Nagar and tried to snatch the cash bag.
When he resisted, one of them fired at him and escaped with the bag, a senior police officer said.
Jagannath was admitted to nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries in Tuesday morning.
Police is examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to ascertain the identify of the accused.
