New Delhi, Nov 18 (IANS) A 25-year-old biker died and his two friends had a narrow escape after their bike was allegedly hit by a vehicle in the national capital, police said on Saturday.
The police said the accident occurred on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday in south Delhi when the deceased, Parveen -- a resident of Badarpur area -- was riding a bike along with his two friends.
"Primary investigation suggests the deceased with his two friends was tripling a bike without wearing helmets. They were coming from Pitampura in north Delhi and going to Badarpur. When they reached the South Extension flyover, an unknown vehicle rammed their bike," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Chinmoy Biswal said.
"We have collected CCTV footage of the flyover to get some lead in the case. Efforts are on to identify the offending vehicle," Biswal said.
