Don’t panic, H1N1 is curable: SKIMS chief to Kashmiris

Srinagar, Nov 18 (IANS) The super specialty tertiary care of Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) here is fully equipped to treat H1N1 flu patients and people should not panic about this as it is a fully curable infection.

SKIMS Director A.G Ahangar said the hospital has treated 24 positive cases of H1N1 so far, out of which 12 have been discharged, five are under treatment and unfortunately seven patients have expired because of other co-morbidities primarily like malignancies, leukemia and immune- compromised status.

The super specialty hospital is catering to the patient care of the Kashmir Valley in particular and Jammu and Kashmir in general ever since 1982.
