New Delhi, Nov 17 (IANS) The CBI on Friday said it has arrested a junior engineer in the North Delhi Municipal Corporation for receiving bribe from the complainant for not demolishing his property.
Kulbhushan Jindal was held while receiving Rs 75,000 in cash here as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team conducted a raid.
"Jindal demanded Rs 2 lakh from the complainant for not demolishing his property in Narela (north Delhi). Following the complaint, we conducted a raid and caught him red-handed while receiving Rs 75,000 in cash. The team also recovered Rs 5 lakh from Jindal's car," a CBI official said.
