New Delhi, Nov 14 (IANS) The government on Tuesday said it will start an e-portal for online application for all security-related clearances required to carry out civil aviation activity in the country.
According to Civil Aviation Secretary R.N. Choubey, the new facility -- E-Sahaj -- is expected to go online from December 1, 2017.
"For the ease of doing business, we found that getting security clearance is somewhat a difficult matter whether its for airlines or airports... so we have devised an online portal so that anyone who wishes to get security clearance can apply online," Choubey said.
"Within 30 days (of application) we will be in a position to provide the decision on it... We have received co-operation from the Ministry of Home Affairs and security agencies for this."
