Abu Dhabi, Nov 14 (IANS/WAM) Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday received Nepali President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, who is currently visiting the country to attend an international health forum.
The two leaders held a meeting where they reviewed bilateral relations in various economic, developmental and investment fields, and ways of developing them to serve their common interests. Bhandari arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Monday evening.
Bhandari will be attending the health forum -- "Reaching the Last Mile - Mobilising Together to Eliminate Infectious Disease" -- which begins here on Wednesday.
The Crown Prince said that the UAE seeks to strengthen and develop relations with Nepal to achieve the country's policy and approach in building bridges of cooperation and friendship with friendly countries.
The Nepalese President expressed her satisfaction with the level of relations between the two countries, stressing her country's keenness to develop and strengthen these relations, and benefit from the UAE's development experience.
Both the leaders also talked about the conference which will focus on eliminating and eradicating preventable deadly diseases that hinder the health and economic prospects of the world's poorest people.
It will also recognise the tremendous efforts of those that have committed their lives to fighting disease on the frontline of affected countries while additionally, supporting international efforts to fight infectious diseases through public-private partnerships.
