Los Angeles, Nov 11 (IANS) Screenwriter Michael Vogel says working with actress Emily Blunt in fantasy animation film "My Little Pony" was a dream come true moment for him.
"One of the great things about working on 'My Little Pony' through the years is we've had so many amazing actresses and so many amazing people be a part of the show," Vogel said in a statement.
"Those women and men have totally personified these characters and brought them to life. So, to have someone like Emily come in and be part of the team, it's one of those like dream-come-true, pinch yourself moments," he added.
"My Little Pony" takes the successful television series "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" to a new level.
The film revolves around the journey of the Mane 6 - Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity, beyond Equestria to save Ponyville using the magic of friendship, from a threatening dark force that will destroy their home.
Blunt has voiced the character of Tempest. Kristin Chenoweth, Liev Schreiber, Michael Pena, Sia, Taye Diggs, Uzo Aduba and Zoe Saldana have also lent their voice for the film.
The film, which was brought to India by MVP Entertainment, released on Friday.
