The bodies of eight women and a man were found on October 30, at the apartment of Takahiro Shiraishi, 27, and the police concluded the identification of the dismembered bodies on Friday morning through DNA samples, Efe news reported.
Among the victims were Kureha Ishihara, a 15-year-old high school girl and two other 17-year-old high school girls, Natsumi Kubo and Akari Suda, according to local media.
Police found the human remains inside boxes and portable refrigerators in Shiraishi's residence while investigating the disappearance of a 23-year-old woman from Tokyo, whose body was among the discovered remains.
The young Aiko Tamura posted in September a message on Twitter in which she was looking to commit suicide with someone, and the suspect replied: "Let's die together", investigators data revealed.
Stealing money was one of the reasons behind the killings, in addition to luring some of the women for the purpose of sexually abusing them.
The alleged murderer, who is in custody, had already admitted that his victims included several teenagers and the boyfriend of one of the women he had killed previously.
The suspect said he had killed all his victims in his apartment from August, when he first moved in, until October.
In the suspect's apartment, the police found the heads, limbs and other dismembered human remains, as well as some 240 bones.
According to the explanation he gave to police, it took him three days to mutilate the first corpse, but with the second body "it did not take more than a day".
