Jammu, Nov 9 (IANS) The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday ordered the removal of Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation's MMD Daleep Thusu, a day after an audio clip in which he purportedly said he would get a graft case hushed up by bribing someone at the top went viral.
In the audio clip, Thusu had told his subordinate engineers to pool Rs 10 lakh, which, he said, had to be paid to somebody at the top who would ensure that a case pending with the state anti-corruption organization would be hushed up.
Official sources said here that an inquiry is being ordered to find out who he was referring to as as the "top person" who had to gratified for getting the case hushed up.
